  • hand conditions eg carpal tunnel or DeQuervain's tendinopathy

  • breast conditions

  • sacroiliac joint or pubic symphysis pain, dysfunction or instability

  • back pain

A Physiotherapist can also help with safe exercise prescription during pregnancy.

Post-natal

Post natal check up

Post natally it can be very beneficial to have a check up at 6 -7 weeks although still beneficial in the first year.  It is very important that your pelvic floor is activating correctly.

Your abdominal muscles would also be assessed and checked for rectus diastasis (abominal seperation). An appropriate strengthening program can be prescribed to help you regain optimal abdominal strength and lumbo-pelvic stability while ensuring you are protecting your pelvic floor.

Other common issues  a physiotherapist can help you with include:

  • mastitis

  • musculoskeletal conditions including; hand conditions, sacroiliac joint or pubic symphysis, coccyx pain, back pain, neck pain

  • return to fitness programs or sport
